Hafiz Indonesia 2017

Hafiz Indonesia is a TV program that I love every year because this program is islamic and also inspiring program. Why I say this is a inspiring program? Because they who follow this event are children aged 3 to 10 years and they have memorized at least 5 Juz of Al-Quran. Even, some of them already memorize 30 Juz of Al-Quran. Very inspiring, is not it ?. Through this program, we can introspect ourselves, how shame we are as adults still not interested to memorize the holy Qur'an which is a guide for us as Muslims. Even, we can’t spare our time to recite Al-Quran routinely.

Hafiz Indonesia is a TV program aired on RCTI around 00.10-01.30 p.m. Unfortunately, this program only aired in Ramadhan month. In this program, the juries are also brilliant juries who do not haphazardly give input to the prospective children of the Heaven's inhabitants. They are Sheikh Ali Jaber, Prof.Dr. Amir Faishol Fath, and Nabilah Abdul Rahim. In each year, they can educate the children of Hafiz Indonesian into qualified children, especially for the Hereafter. The program is also guided by an host named Irfan Hakim.

In this year, there are 18 great children competing in hafiz Indonesia 2017. They are Ahmad, Kamil, Farhan, Zahra, Enri, Zaky, Habib, Luqman, Azka, Tsaqibah, Hasan, Salman, Athifa, Alana, Nafis, Tsaqief , Arga, and Nail. Each of them has memorized 5 Juz of Qur'an. Masyaa Allah..

Day by day they have to face the challenges presented by the juries. With these challenges, the child
who has the lowest score will be repatriated every day until elected the champion of 18 participants.
The challenges given are very challenging, and they can through it extraordinarily.

Now, they are already in the final Musabaqah. The children who can get into this round is Ahmad
who has memorized 30 Juz comes from Tegal, Kamil who has a memorized 30 Juz comes from
Magelang, Zahra who has memorized 5 Juz comes from Cimahi, Farhan who has memorized 5 Juz
comes from Deli Serdang, Enri who has memorized 10 Juz comes from Ternate, and Zaqy who has
memorized 5 Juz comes from Ambon.

I am deeply proud by the two participants, Ahmad and Kamil. They are orphans who can memorize
30 Juz of al-Qur'an and come from the same pesantren. In fact, if other children are accompanied
and encouraged by their parents, but Ahmad and Kamil's parents can not accompany them.
The seats provided for their parents are always empty. Very sad!. But that does not decrease their spirits.
They keep trying to make their parents happy in the world and in the hereafter.

How embarrassed we are to claim the Qur'an as our guide but not place it in our hearts. We are still
busy with worldly affairs that are only temporary. Hopefully, with my short writing this can make me
and the readers better for the future.

Summary of 'The Enchanting Music of Sign Language' by Christine Sun Kim

Christine Sun Kim was born deaf. She is an artist. In his talk, she shares about the history of ASL and a bit of her background. Sun Kim was taught to believe that sound wasn’t part of her life. In contrast, sound was very much a part of her life. As a deaf person, Kim understand sound through watching how people behave and respond to sound. The people are like her loudspeaker and amplify sound. At the same time, she have learned to create sound ‘sound atiquette’  and seen how people respond to her. In Deaf culture, movement is equivalent to sound. Summary of 'Learn to Read Chinese...with Ease' by ShaoLan

ShaoLan is from Taiwan and a daughter of calligrapher. She tells us about how fast method to learn Chinese. She started to learn how to draw every single stroke for each character in the correct sequenced. She learned new characters every day. A chinese scholar would understand 20000 characters. We only need 1000 to understand the basic literacy. The top 200 will allow us to comprehend 40% of basic literature. However, Shao started with eight. When we open our mouth as wide as possible until it’s square, so we get the ‘mouth’. Drawing a person who is going for a walk, we get ‘person’. Drawing a person with two arms on both sides, it’s ‘fire’. Then, she shows us the symbol of tree, mountain, sun, moon, the symbol of the door which looks like a pair of saloon doors in the wild west. After knowing the symbol of ‘person’, we can add drawing someone walks behind, means ‘follow’. If a person stretched their arms wide, it mean ‘big’. And still a lot of symbol. By using this method, th
